We’re partnering with a 50-person public accounting firm based in Oakland that’s looking to hire an experienced Tax Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative, mid-sized firm environment and enjoys a mix of complex tax work, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff.

 

Location
  • Bay Area candidates preferred
  • Southern California candidates welcome if willing to travel to the Bay Area 4x per year
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare complex individual, S Corporation, and partnership returns
  • Lead client engagements and maintain strong client relationships
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues
  • Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants
  • Contribute to process improvements and workflow enhancements
  • Stay up-to-date on federal and state tax laws and regulations
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with a regional or large local firm
  • Active CPA license required
  • MS in Taxation preferred
  • Proficiency in CCH ProSystem fx and paperless environments is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

A boutique business management firm in Sherman Oaks is looking for Tour Accountant to join its team. The firm primarily supports entertainment clients and is actively growing its touring practice with a focus on touring musicians and comedians.

What You’ll Do:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for touring clients
  • Create and manage tour budgets and track expenses in real time
  • Review and process show settlements and reconcile with promoters
  • Record income and expenses throughout the tour lifecycle
  • Prepare final tour books and financial summaries post-tour
  • Work closely with tour managers, promoters, and internal business managers
  • Use tools like AgilLink (experience preferred) to manage client accounts

  • Full-time role based in Sherman Oaks

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate development, construction financing, and project management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving financial performance and operational efficiency.
