Tax Senior

Join a respected and forward-thinking CPA firm located in Century City as a Tax Senior. This is a full-time position offering a hybrid schedule requiring four days a week in the office. The ideal candidate will support tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals and real estate partnerships. This opportunity provides direct mentorship from experienced Managers and visibility into full-cycle client engagements, within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, real estate partnerships, and investment entities
  • Assist in tax planning strategies for real estate developers, property managers, and family groups
  • Collaborate with Managers and Partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness of tax filings
  • Engage in year-round client communication and relationship management
  • Participate in training and mentorship of junior team members
  • Contribute to team meetings and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain working knowledge of tax laws and industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA license or progress toward obtaining CPA
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with emphasis in tax
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients and real estate preferred
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work four days per week in the office

Hybrid: Work remotely 3–4 days/week, with 1 in-office day in Woodland Hills, Beverly Hills, or San Diego.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and oversee tax returns for real estate partnerships, professional service firms, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff-level talent as they develop technical strength and client presence
  • Partner closely with a seasoned leader invested in your growth
  • Step into a leadership seat with clear Partner-track visibility
  • Bring strategy and stability to fast-moving client needs
  • Enjoy a true hybrid role: 3–4 days in-office, with occasional travel to other SoCal offices

 

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • CPA with 6–10+ years in public accounting (with some management under your belt)
  • Strong background in real estate and/or professional services client work
  • Known for your calm confidence and clear communication
  • Comfortable leading a team and reviewing staff work
  • Familiarity with CCH software a big plus
  • Based in Southern California — San Fernando Valley, Beverly Hills, or San Diego preferred
