Audit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager with a specialization in construction industry clients. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of construction accounting practices, including job cost accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and contractor-specific reporting requirements. This role will involve leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and mentoring staff within a dynamic and growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for construction contractors and related entities.
  • Review complex accounting transactions, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, retainage, change orders, and WIP schedules.
  • Lead fieldwork, supervise engagement teams, and coordinate with clients to ensure timely and high-quality audit delivery.
  • Identify and resolve audit and accounting issues as they arise.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for engagements.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance and development.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Stay current on construction industry trends, regulatory changes, and GAAP/GAAS standards.

Requirements:

  • CPA license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of audit experience, with significant exposure to construction industry clients.
  • Strong understanding of GAAPGAAS, and construction-specific accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CCH Engagement, CaseWare, or ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

Salary: $100,000 – $125,000

Senior Tax Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic tax team. This role requires a well-rounded professional with broad experience in both individual (1040) and privately held business tax compliance and planning. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns including S Corporations (1120S), Partnerships (1065), and C Corporations (1120).
  • Perform tax planning and research for individuals, small business owners, and closely held companies.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end tax projections and estimated payments.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather tax documentation and provide guidance on tax matters.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and make recommendations for clients.
  • Assist with IRS and state tax notices and audits.
  • Support workflow management and help train junior staff as needed.
  • Stay informed on current tax laws and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred or actively pursuing.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of tax experience in public accounting.
  • Proficiency in individual and small to mid-size business tax returns.
  • Familiarity with tax software such as Lacerte, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or Drake.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
