Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage individual and partnership tax planning, consulting and compliance.
  • Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns.
  • Assist Managers in identifying and researching various client issues, and regularly communicate with clients and management.
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to new or existing clients.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor staff associates, including interns.
Requirements:
  • CPA certification required or in progress.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
  • Master of Science in Taxation preferred, but not required.
  • At least 3 years of current public accounting experience.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge, oral and written communication skills.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Salary: $85,000-$115,000

Our client is a multi-office CPA firm who is looking to match great talent with varied career opportunities. LA Business Journal named this firm one of the “Best Places to Work” because it provides a diverse client base, face-to-face time with clients and growth potential within public accounting. The work is complex and engaging, which contends with their excellent benefits package and investment in associate development. You will be responsible for accurate and timely completion of tax returns while being encouraged and recognized for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, Estate, Trust, and Non-Profit tax returns
  • Payroll and sales tax return preparation and review
  • Prepare year-end adjusting entries and working trial balance
  • Assist in analyzing budgets and cash flows
  • Regular communication with clients regarding updates, questions, concerns, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Taxation a plus
  • CPA candidate working towards license, CPA a plus
  • 1+ years of public accounting
  • Experience with software for tax preparation and tax research
