Tax Manager

We are seeking a driven and experienced Tax Manager to join a fast-growing, innovative advisory firm that partners with closely held businesses.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical tax and accounting expertise, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a collaborative spirit. This role primarily focuses on reviewing flow-through tax returns while working closely with clients and their support teams. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone seeking significant professional growth and direct exposure to business owners and financial professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support ongoing tax planning and client engagements
• Perform detailed reviews of complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns, with a focus on flow-through entities
• Collaborate with team members to address client issues and ensure deadlines are consistently met
• Research tax law changes and complex technical issues; provide insights and recommendations
• Contribute to the development of technical skills within the team through mentorship and guidance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and timely communication

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience at a medium-sized public accounting firm, specializing in preparation and review of flow-through income tax returns
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, client communication, and technical research
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional integrity
• CPA license required (EA designation also considered)
• Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and CCH Engagement software

Salary: 120K – 150K (DOE)
