Tax Manager

We are working with one of the largest local CPA firms in the Silicon Valley, consistently ranked among the Top 30 accounting firms in the San Jose Business Journal, looking to bring on a Tax Manager. They are a large local firm with a team of over 100, serving emerging and middle-market privately-held businesses. They also partner with high-net-worth individuals; owners, founders, and executives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day client relationships and maintain positive client satisfaction
• Seek opportunities to be creative and innovative in serving clients
• Work closely with engagement partner and staff to meet client expectations
• Manage the assignment budgets and profitability in the area of responsibility
• Keep current on applicable professional standards
• Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
• Role model and mentor to new and existing staff

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6-10 years of recent public accounting experience
• Bachelors in Accounting or Masters Degree in Accounting or Tax
• CPA
• Strong technical knowledge and a developing area of expertise
• Strong project management, organization, and analytical skills
• Team management skills, including the ability to lead, direct, and coach
• Ability to build & cultivate strong personal relationships with peers in the firm and the business community
• Excellent business skills and appropriate industry knowledge

Salary: $120,000 – $180,000
