Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee compliance and planning, manage team performance, and support growth initiatives within the firm.

Location: Los Angeles, CA – Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex tax returns including individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and nonprofit filings
• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting for a variety of clients
• Supervise and mentor tax staff and seniors; assist with performance evaluations and training
• Maintain and develop client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery
• Research complex tax issues and provide clear, concise recommendations
• Stay current with federal, state, and local tax law changes and trends
• Assist in identifying new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and applicable professional standards

Requirements:

• CPA license required (or JD/EA with significant tax experience)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
• 5–8 years of recent experience in public accounting or corporate tax
• Proven track record of managing tax engagements and supervising teams
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, UltraTax, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
