The Opportunity
We’re seeking a mission-aligned Tax Manager to lead and evolve our growing tax practice. This is more than a traditional tax role—it’s an invitation to be part of a movement that redefines how taxes and finances are approached, with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

You’ll play a pivotal role in mentoring a small team, supporting conscious business owners, and implementing systems that create ease, accuracy, and scalability within the firm. As you grow in the role, there is a clear path toward long-term partnership.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Review personal and business tax returns
• Prepare select returns and year end projections to understand the nature of our clients
• Respond to client inquiries and tax notices with clarity, professionalism, and care
• Evaluate internal systems and implement improvements
• Manage and mentor two tax accountants, providing check-ins and feedback
• Lead tax planning meetings with clients, incorporating strategic recommendations
• Create and manage internal tax metrics and dashboards

 

What You Bring

• 8+ years of tax prep/review experience (2+ in leadership)
• CPA preferred, but not required if experience is strong
• Proficient in Lacerte or similar tax software, Excel and management systems
• Understanding of service-based entrepreneurs and small business financials

The Details

• Workload: ~1,800 hours annually, with lighter hours in the off-season
• Location: Fully remote with flexible scheduling
• Compensation Range: $108k-$135k

Start Date: Ideally June/July 2025
