Tax Supervisor

A well-established CPA firm in Orange County is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join their growing team. This is an in-office role (4 days per week) focused on high-net-worth individuals and complex tax returns. The ideal candidate will bring strong tax preparation and review skills, coupled with the ability to mentor junior staff and support client engagements from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines concurrently
• Provide tax planning and consulting for high-net-worth individuals and families
• Oversee and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work for accuracy
• Communicate directly with clients, addressing tax matters and inquiries
• Research and resolve complex tax issues and stay updated on current tax laws
• Collaborate with partners and senior management on strategic tax matters

Requirements:

• CPA license or CPA eligibility required
• 3–6 years of recent public accounting experience, with a focus in tax
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals and real estate clients preferred
• Strong knowledge of federal and California tax laws
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (for Supervisor-level applicants)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in tax software such as ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar
