Job Description
The candidate should have a command of GAAP, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations. In addition, the successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit and review procedures and techniques. Candidate will assume responsibility for efficiently supervising financial reporting engagements. Responsibilities include developing quality client relationships, supervising senior and staff level accountants, and communicating engagement status to Firm principals.

Education - B.S. in Accounting, M.S.A. or M.B.A. in accountancy desirable.

Experience

  • SIX YEARS RECENT experience in PUBLIC accounting;

Job Description
Responsible for organizing and coordinating clients' tax situations for the accurate, timely completion of individual, corporate, pass through entities, individual and trust tax returns. Rewarding client service and interaction will be accomplished through overt tax research, planning and consulting. Activities at the senior and manager level include interfacing with staff level associates for project management, time management, and general direction and guidance. Responsibilities will include monitoring engagement status and profitability as well as attending to client expectations.

Education  B.S. in Accounting, Masters in accounting or taxation desirable.

Experience

  • Knowledge of Taxation Codes and Regulations;
  • 3+ years recent Public Accounting experience;
  • CPA certification;
  • Experience with closely-held manufacturers and distributors highly desirable;

  • Prefers a CPA, CMA, and/or MBA with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting and/or financial experience;
