Tax Manager - Prestigious Local CPA Firm in La Jolla (San Diego) - Partnership Potential

Very prestigious local CPA firm in La Jolla with a real opportunity for partnership is looking for a qualified tax manager.

The tax manager will have heavy review responsibilities as well as preparation of complex returns.

Ideal candidate must have the ability to interface with clients at the highest level and run tax engagements as primary point of contact. This public accounting firm promotes a work life balance and promotion from within.

Clients include companies in manufacturing, real estate, distribution, retail, restaurant as well as high net worth individuals and some Business Management clients.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise tax department including mentoring staff and seniors
• Report to Tax Partner
• Oversee all aspects of Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate issues
• Review returns
• Provide consulting and compliance work
• Research complex tax matters

Requirements:

• CPA
• Masters of taxation a plus
• 7+ years of recent experience in a C.P.A. firm
• Supervisory experience in a CPA firm
• Exposure and mastery of tax review and tax research

Salary will be based on experience, and will be paid at market plus the opportunity for a generous bonus based on productivity as well as bonus potential for any business generated at the firm.
