Premier Financial Search is a professional search firm with over 30 years experience placing professionals in the Southern California market. We are currently recruiting for a high profile billion dollar financial services client in the Los Angeles now hiring for a Senior Accountant.

This position reports to the Director of Accounting and Compliance.

Duties include the review of significant investment accounting and hedging transactions, implications of new GAAP reporting pronouncements, entries, and disclosures. The employee will also be involved in a variety of different areas of partnership accounting, hedge funds, private equities, affordable housing issues, derivatives, insurance, etc. Other duties include assisting in the implementation of new standards and policies as they relate to the organization and to keep current on such standards such as FASB, EITF, SEC, etc. This employee will also interact heavily with other departments, Treasury, Investments, Corporate Controllers Group, Special Projects.

The ideal candidate will be a degreed accountant with a California CPA and 3- 5 years experience in a relevant industry and or public accounting. This person needs to have strong technical accounting knowledge, such as external reporting, organizational skills, PC skills, self starter, the ability to re-engineer and and improve processes and to communicate up, down and across the organization.

Our client is a leader in their field and they are offering a very competitive comp package for this position, client is looking to hire a top notch individual and the package is reflective of that. Base salary is $80 to 100k, DOE, plus benefits, insurance, 401k, pension, vacation, 10% target bonus, etc.
