Job Description: This individual is primarily responsible for the monthly administrative accounting close process for certain MBU and Corporate Shared Service Areas, including accounting reconciliations.

Additional responsibilities could include:

• Tracking the budgeting and forecasting functions for specific Corporate Shared Service Areas.
• Maintaining understanding of cost allocations and preparing month end accruals and variance analyses for Senior Management.
• Complying with company and regulatory accounting practices and standards.
• Supporting and interacting with Finance Vice Presidents/Directors, General Managers, and Cost Center Managers.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce length of monthly admin close.
• Attending month-end administrative close meetings and resolving issues and questions.
• Focusing on improving customer service levels.
• Performing special projects on an ad hoc basis.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidate background will have:

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Prefers a CPA, CMA, and/or MBA with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting and/or financial experience.
• Previous experience in supporting a similar function.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry is desired.
• Dedication to providing superior customer service with a commitment to quality.
• Strong PC skills including Excel, SmartStream, and Access a must.
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities required.
